One couple who was refused a license by Davis went to the Rowan County Attorney The couple wanted her charged with official misconduct for not carrying out her duties.
The Rowan County Attorney felt that there was would be a conflict of interest if he did the investigation and passed the complaint on to the AG. The AG could then decide to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate the situation. Today, the AG, Jack Conway, decided that the situation is being handled by the federal courts and Judge Bunning. This may be a political ploy to keep Conway as far away as possible from a hot button issue as elections approach. At this point, he feels that no action is needed by the AG's office. With luck, as this continues to escalate, the AG may need to become involved. I think that an investigation into Davis' actions and failures to act are well worth looking into.

Shortly after the information from the AG's office was released, Rowan County filedanother Marriage Equality marriage certificate. I believe that's the 8th one issued since Davis was imprisoned.
Allen Corona and Mark Shrayber traveled from San Francisco to Rowan County to get a marriage license and to make a statement. They received their license on Tuesday, went and married at Morehead State University that evening and returned to the County Clerk's office to file the license on Wednesday.
The couple praised the response of residents, some of whom ran up to hug them. Shrayber says it seemed many were embarrassed by the situation.
Shrayber says he's disgusted Davis is becoming "a martyr for the cause." He says: "We are in 2015. We are not burning witches anymore."
Congratulations to the happy couple! #LoveWins #SometimesItJustTakesLonger
