The third choice should read: Mildly anxious, for example may sometime need a drink or other aid to relax. A commenter suggested that “I’m more angry than anxious” which is how I feel. Anger is productive when we can express it to others who feel the same way, but not too good when you hold it in.
We are Daily Kos psychotherapist-diarists who posts frequently. We are interested in how readers are handling stress over the prospect of Trump winning. I am a retired clinical social worker and mental health center director with 40 years of experience. Dr. Howard Covitz is a practicing psychoanalyst with 40 years of experience.
This poll was posted posted with my “and the winner is” diary this morning. The diary has fallen off the front page so nobody is taking the poll anymore. Rather than re-post the poll itself, we thought that it would be helpful for readers to comment, to share, and to vent if they need to.
Although only 27 people took the poll we are still concerned about the 28% — but still nine people are in the last three groups.
Use the poll above as a guide (which group would you fit in) or just comment about what you’re experiencing and share with us how you are coping.
