South Carolina Rep. John Richard King (D) District 49 York County Is filing a resolution to ban Donald Trump from the Palmetto State after a Muslim woman was escorted from Trump’s Friday rally in Rock hill. Rock Hill a city in the 49th district that King represents has a city welcome sign that starts with the words , a city with “No Room for Racism home of the“ Friendship Nine “ which refers to a group African American men who went to jail after staging a sit-in at a segregated McCrory's lunch counter in Rock Hill, South Carolina in 1961
King told reporters that he has hear Trump insult immigrants, African-Americans, women, war heroes. But hit his limit when a Muslim woman was kicked out of the SC Trump rally Friday, after staging a silent protest when trump commented about Syrian refugees having ties to ISIS.
A resolution isn’t binding like law, but King hopes that it will send a strong message to the Trump camp. Also it will give South Carolina citizens a chance to see were their representatives stand on Donald Trump and his bigotry.
There Has been no comment on the ban resolution from the trump camp as yet.
