I'd always liked and admired Bernie Sanders. He was a wild voice in the wilderness of Washington who talked about real people’s problems, real people’s feelings, and real solutions that would make things better for people like me. He never cared about scandals or sloppy malapropisms by clueless politicians. He cared about important issues that everyone in D.C., including the media, didn’t seem to even KNOW about let alone address in any meaningful way.
So, when Bernie decided that, yes, he would run, I jumped on his bandwagon in a New York Minute. I’ve contributed to his campaign every month and made Bernie a staple of my social media commentary. I’m also supporting and working for a local millennial, Alex Law, who is primarying NJ House Democrat Donald Norcross (1st District) on June 7th because Norcross votes with Republicans every chance he gets. Donald was installed in Robert Andrew’s seat by his brother, the corrupt NJ power broker George Norcross. Law is the ONLY person running in NJ who openly endorsed Bernie Sanders for President from the VERY BEGINNING even though Bernie Sanders own NJ Chair, Assemblyman John Wisinewski, endorsed the Democrat-In-Name-Only (DINO) Donald Norcross!
So, the revolution is happening, Bernie. Just like you said it might. The young people are behind you and they’ll be voting this time. So will boomers like me who are sick of the conservative reign we’ve lived through most of our adult lives. It’s time progressives really got behind a candidate who will actually work for the American people rather than the banksters and corporate criminals.
Okay, Bernie’s not as young as he once was and his hair is a bit Dr. Zorba-ish, but no one is laughing at his candidacy anymore and all of us Elmos out here are tickled to death!
