Hi everybody. I have been down in Chile for the past 7 weeks helping my son build his house. This is my 8th trip to Chile. I leave tomorrow night and I have to say I’ll be glad to be home. Chile’s a nice place but I miss my Oregon home. I’m tired of living in houses with bars on the windows and spiked walls all around (EVERY house in Chile is like that) give me my 30 mile view and my house we haven’t locked in 10 years
I have long been an aficionado of Chilean Wall art. Its fantastic, the only word I can think of to describe it. Its all over Chile but the best and most concentrated seems to be in Valparaiso.
I was only able to do one overnight in Valpo this time but these are new ones (new to me anyway) I found just walking around Barrio Templemann and on the flats.
But first let me show you a historic photo. THIS IS THE FIRST NAILGUN IN CHILE!!!
Yes, you are looking at the man who brought the first nailgun to Chile. (also the first Sawzall!) They don’t have these here so I had my wife send me down one, with two boxes of nails. My son is looking into setting up a Senco distributorship, tthese should sell like empanadas (see my next SMHRB diary for more on this)
Sorry I can’t stay around and diary-tend, have to go trabajar
OK, on to Valpo and some more wall art---I believe this is my 6th diary on this, check my diary list.
