Robert Reich:
Hillary Clinton is clearly the most qualified candidate to become president of the political system we now have. Bernie Sanders is clearly the most qualified candidate to create the political system we should have.
Which is why Hillary’s closing message in Iowa is “we can’t wait” for the changes Bernie wants -- emphasizing she’s ready for the presidency now, as it is. And it’s why Bernie’s closing message is "it's time for a political revolution" -- arguing that nothing important can get done in Washington unless [we] enlarge the parameters of what’s possible. "Establishment politics,” he says, can’t solve the nation's problems.
As to that last sentence, Albert Einstein has something to add:
We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used when we created them.
And:
Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world.
Knowledge is status quo, passing on . . . and taking in . . . that which already exists.
Imagination is taking a leap from that which has been passed on. Imagination is asking, “What if . . . ?”
If you’re happy with conditions as they are, you have your candidate: Hillary. If you’re like I am; if you look around, seeing many conditions that cry out for improvement, you also have your candidate: Bernie. The choice is pretty simple.
