Noam Chomsky, a prominent academic and Sanders supporter, dismisses the foolish notion of some Sanders supporters that Hillary Clinton is just another Republican or that she does not deserve the support of progressive voters in the general election if she is the nominee.

Noam Chomsky would “absolutely” choose Hillary Clinton over the Republican nominee if he lived in a swing state, but her primary challenger, Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, “doesn’t have much of a chance," the MIT professor and intellectual said in a recent interview.
He said it would be voting against a Republican rather than for Hillary, but cited the massive distinctions between Hillary and every single Republican candidate.
Chomsky cited “enormous differences” between the two major political parties. “Every Republican candidate is either a climate change denier or a skeptic who says we can’t do it,” Chomsky said. “What they are saying is, ‘Let’s destroy the world.’ Is that worth voting against? Yeah.”
Chomsky may not vote for Hillary if she is the nominee, but only because he lives in a safely blue state. Voters who could change the outcome of the election are a different story according to this progressive thinker.
