The concept of karma comes from ancient India. Karma is “the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).[2] Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering. Karma is closely associated with the idea of rebirth in many schools of Asian religions. In these schools, karma in the present affects one's future in the current life, as well as the nature and quality of future lives - one's saṃsāra.” (From Wikipedia)
Karma is also a concept in Christianity, only there it’s described with the phrase “you reap what you sow.”
Galatians 6:7 - Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
2 Corinthians 9:6 - But this [I say], He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.
Proverbs 16:18 - Pride [goeth] before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
Proverbs 14:14 - The backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways: and a good man [shall be satisfied] from himself.
Luke 6:38 - Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.
Trump has been sowing a lot of, to put it most simply, badness. Much of this has come from his misogyny. He wants us to believe he loves women but in truth he hates them. He has treated them as objects for his desire.
He has sowed a lot of tainted seed, now reaping time is here.
A secular concept that applies to what Trump has brought upon himself is that of poetic justice. Nobody appears to know where the term came from but everyone knows what it means: reward virtue and punishing vice usually in an ironic manner.
What can be more ironic than Trump being punished for his objectification of women, and perhaps his misdeeds with them, than his being brought down by record comments which have revealed to the world what a reprehensible person he is?
Now for what may be the last poll about what will be the final straw for Trump… the poll below was after the news broke… now that we’ve are well into the fallout phase, what do you think? Consider the story that has come in the New York Times about a woman who reports that Trump groped her.

From the Kristof story in the NYT:
JILL HARTH’S first concern with Donald Trump’s hands wasn’t that they were small. It’s that they were everywhere.
Harth and her longtime boyfriend were in meetings with Trump to forge a business partnership. “He was relentless,” Harth recalled in an interview, describing how on Dec. 12, 1992, he took the couple to dinner and a club — and then situated himself beside Harth and ran his hands up her skirt, to her crotch. “I didn’t know how to handle it. I would go away from him and say I have to go to the restroom. It was the escape route.”
That year, Harth continued to meet Trump for business — and, she says, he continued to try to jump her. “He’d say, ‘Let’s go in my room, I want to lie down,’ and he’d pull me along. I’d say, ‘I don’t want to lie down,’ and it would turn into a wrestling match. … I remember yelling, ‘I didn’t come here for this.’ He’d say, ‘Just calm down.’”
