As the rats desert the Trumping ship, North Carolina Republican Sen. Richard Burr is distinguishing himself for cravenness:
Translation: I am going to watch to see how much blowback my fellow Republican lawmakers get for disavowing Trump before I make my final call. But Burr had better stick by Trump, a day after Burr was announced as a member of Trump’s National Security Advisory Council.
Burr’s Democratic opponent, Deborah Ross, hit back with this statement:
"Senator Burr has spent his political career looking out for himself and not the people of North Carolina, and his continued support for Donald Trump even in the wake of his vile comments about women is no different. Senator Burr is long past the point when he should have rejected Trump, and the fact that he continues to serve on Trump’s campaign is exactly what’s wrong with Washington. These aren't North Carolina values."
North Carolina, it’s up to you to show that these aren’t your values.
Can you chip in $3 to help elect Deborah Ross to the Senate?
