A lot of people thought it was strange when Michael Jackson built an amusement park on the grounds of his Neverland Ranch, replete with Ferris Wheels, roller coasters, and carousel rides, but it all made sense once the stories of child molestation began to surface. After all, what better way to attract a constant stream of young children to his home, and by his own admission his bed, than a fantasy filled world of wonder and lights. Just like Michael Jackson’s Neverland, Donald Trump’s purchases of the Miss Universe and Miss America pageants were emblematic of his sick sexual nature. To Trump women were, and still are, just pieces of meat. His actions mirror those of Jackson as he used his wealth and celebrity status as a means to gain access to young impressionable people and place them in positions where he could sexually abuse them. Michael Jackson was fond of “sleep overs” where he would invite children, other than his own, to sleep with him in his bed. Similarly, Donald Trump used his pageant ownership as an excuse to conduct “inspections” of the female contestant dressing rooms while many where naked. Both men would also shamelessly attack anyone who spoke out about their abhorrent behavior, labeling them as despicable liars whose only motivations were money and fame. Sadly the media, and many in the public, are always eager to side with their celebrity idols and attack the character of the victims. Often questioning why it took the victims so long to come forward as they simultaneously question their motives and character. In the cases of both of these men, the evidence against them eventually becomes so overwhelming that it was impossible to deny. Thankfully the media, and all but his most fanatical supporters, have finally accepted what has been all too obvious for all too long, that Donald J. Trump is a serial abuser of women. Let us use the stories of this man’s despicable nature to join together, both male and female, Democrat and Republican, and declare once and for all of time that this will not stand. Not the words, not the behavior, not the victim shaming, none of it.
