Clinton still kicking Trump's butt with Latino voters

Look for Latino voters to give the GOP a historic ass-whupping on Election Day. The polls are proving amazingly consistent among Latinos, who overwhelmingly prefer Hillary Clinton to Donald Trump and feel increasingly motivated to vote. Louis Nelson writes: 

An NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll completed last week shows Hillary Clinton with a massive 50-point lead over Trump among Hispanic likely voters, 67 percent to 17 percent, in a four-way race that also includes Libertarian Gary Johnson and the Green Party’s Jill Stein. In a head-to-head matchup with Johnson and Stein removed, Clinton leads Trump 70 percent to 17 percent among Latinos likely to vote.

These findings are basically spot on with those made by a late-August Latino Decisions poll, which put Clinton up 70 to 19 percent in a head to head. (UPDATE: The latest LD tracking poll has Clinton up 75-14 percent.) Additionally, the NBC/WSJ poll showed increasing interest in the election.

Sixty-nine percent of Hispanic respondents said they are very interested in the presidential election, a 9 percent increase from a poll taken last month.

Latino Decisions polling has consistently found interest in this race to be higher than that in 2012.

Compared to four years ago in late August (when the poll was taken), the 51 percent who feel “more enthusiastic” marks a 14-point uptick from 37 percent who said the same in 2012.
