The National Republican Senatorial Committee has been lagging behind Democrats in fundraising and spending on Senate races, but officials are determined to make up the gap:
Senate Republicans' campaign arm raised $15 million in September and took out an additional $15.5 million line-of-credit, part of an all-out effort to keep the Senate — and stave off Democrats who are outspending them in key races. [...]
The haul also suggests that donors are beginning to gravitate toward the battle for the Senate as Donald Trump’s prospects for becoming president continue to sag.
What Republicans don’t say as they lament being outspent by Democrats is that Republicans are getting a major outside assist from the Koch brothers. Between Koch money and that NRSC loan, Democrats need to redouble our efforts, and not get overconfident.
