In the race to replace former UK PM David Cameron, Bernie Sanders’ brother Larry Sanders (not to be confused with the late comedian Garry Shandling), didn’t win, but he did beat the Trump-like Ukip-UK Independence Party, an extreme right-wing party that blames all of the UK’s problems on immigrants, and whose former leader, Nigel Farage, helped mislead the country into Brexit and whose slogan is ‘Make Britain Great Again’:
Green candidate Larry Sanders, brother of the US presidential challenger Bernie Sanders, beat Ukip for fourth place.
Courts won 17,313 votes to Leffman’s 11,611; Enright was third on 5,765, followed by Sanders with 1,363 and Ukip’s Dickie Bird on 1,354.

Sanders ran on the Green Party ticket. But some observers see parallels with his brother Bernie and British Labour party leader Jeremy Corbyn, who both have an anti-corporate, anti-poverty and call for more rights for workers and unions and greater social spending.
