Now that it seems clear that James Comey will not clarify his letter or provide more information, it appears that the original Clinton strategy of demanding more information should be changed. It was absolutely the right strategy for the first 24 hours, but now I think everyone should just focus on the fact that the letter does not say that the new information is even “significant.” The same is true of Comey’s letter to his own staff.
So rather than call the letter an “18-wheeler” that “smacked” the Clinton campaign, as Donna Brazile foolishly did today, everyone supporting Hillary should call it the letter about nothing — “The Seinfeld Letter.” The text of the letter truly says nothing, and Trump’s claims that the letter proves Hillary’s guilt just underscores his recklessness and desperation.
