I’d like someone to explain something to me.
It’s the FBI, Federal Bureau of INVESTIGATION. They INVESTIGATE. They don’t determine guilt or innocence. They, like your local detectives, investigate to determine if a crime has been committed. They then turn it over to the DOJ or local DA to determine if there is enough evidence to proceed to trial. They don’t comment on any evidence they collect but refer to those that prosecute.
Comey has come out with statements that, IMHO should have been made by the DOJ, not the FBI director. He’s way overstepped his job description.
He should receive censure at the least or be forced to resign. He works for an investigative agency, not a prosecuting one.
Edited to add, it appears a complaint has been filed against Comey for violation of the Hatch Act.
