So who is to blame for Tuesday’s fiasco? While it’s never productive to blame without assessing what went wrong and to field a lessons learned plan we collective look for blame. So here it is. It’s my opinion only.
Debbie Wasserman Schultz and the candidate’s inability to bring the hope and change that the electorate wanted. Trump ran on that platform and won. The inability of the party to realize the obvious gave us Trump. You can’t blame an October surprise, Benghazi, or the less of two evils. The party simply failed to appeal to the people.
Bernie Sanders had the message and the poll numbers. Bernie represented the fears and frustrations that we all felt. It was those same fears and frustrations that the slick salesman took as his mantra and beat the Democrats. That being said, lets learn from this and now work on reclaiming our country. The next political battle starts today. And the party needs to be in it all the way.
