The headline says it all. I’ve taken a stab at researching the question, but drew a blank. Is it possible that the Endangered Species Act can be overturned by Trump and his appointees?
I ask for two reasons. First, my job (and thus healthcare) depends on federal funding mandated by the ESA. For obvious reasons, this is a concern. More importantly, the ESA is one of the primary tools the environmental movement has used to prevent wholesale extinctions and loss of habitat. Without the ESA, the fish and wildlife will be totally at the mercy of the extraction industries. The thought of wantonly killing off species forever just tears me apart. Please, tell me he can’t go down this road.
No- cancel that- I need the unvarnished truth. We all do.
