Egberto mentioned Michael Moore’s epic interview on Morning Joe earlier. But something he missed may explain more about how Hillary’s seemingly inexplicable loss in Michigan. It seems that a number of Democrats simply passed over the presidential race altogether.
"(Clinton) lost by 11,000 votes in Michigan," Moore said. "Ninety thousand Michiganders voted for every office and every ballot proposal on both sides of the ballot and refused to vote for president." Those voters refused to vote for Trump, Moore said, but they also "were not going to participate in what they saw as a system that had left them forgotten and at bay."
Wow. All this talk about the 50,000-plus people in Michigan who voted for Jill Stein, and we’re overlooking this?
It’s even more staggering put next to 240,000 Wisconsin Dems staying home—in part because Hillary never came to Wisconsin during the general election campaign.
Let’s not deny that voter suppression was at play here. But it also looks like someone on Hillary’s campaign team failed GOTV 101.
