President Obama weighed in on the FBI leak, and he criticized Comey for going off the usual norm and operating and acting on innuendo, on leaks, on incomplete information. The implication is clear: Comey acted in a partisan manner, to influence the election.

While Obama said he makes a “deliberate effort” to ensure it doesn’t appear that he’s meddling in “independent processes,” he suggested that the director deviated from a known norm with the release of the letter.
“I do think that there is a norm that when there are investigations, we don’t operate on innuendo. We don’t operate on incomplete information. We don’t operate on leaks. We operate based on concrete decisions that are made,” he told NowThisNews.
The norm is to stay out of a major election, the FBI isn’t a partisan tool.
“When this was investigated thoroughly the last time, the conclusion of the FBI, the conclusion of the Justice Deptartment. The conclusion of repeated congressional investigation was that she had made some mistakes but there wasn’t anything there that was prosecutable, Obama added.
