10:31 PM PACIFIC: I posted this story at 6:17 PM Pacific. An effort to broadcast an hours-long live video report of police brutalizing hundreds of Water Protectors with water cannons, high-pressure pepper spray and rubber bullets. It’s 23 degrees now and the water cannons are still drenching the crowd opposing the North Dakota Access Pipeline drilling under the Missouri River and threatening the water supply. Even after hundreds have been injured the Water Protectors are remaining in prayer. They are not standing down.
Non-Native media reports have become the propaganda of DAPL and the Morton County Sheriff. Even after a phone interview with Kevin Gilbertt, the owner of the live videos linked below which captured the police-caused fire and use of water cannons on the crowd, audio capture shows his report is distorted into the Water Protectors starting the fire and the police using the water cannons to put the fire out. The video links below show this is untrue. Police flash grenades started the fires and the water cannons were used to punish and tortment the Water Protectors. The video show this.
Random interested viewers have uploaded and posted Gilbertt’s facebook videos to Youtube.
Please see my update timeline below to see this unfold along with reports of the aftermath of injuries.

Connectivity is extremely spotting. The videographer is standing on a hill now named Facebook Hill where ppl go to use their phones. He’s using his phone so capture is pixelated. His narrative is good and worthwhile to listen to.

Getting this as a private message from my source on the ground there:
There are a bunch of police reinforcements coming towards the blockade. Report from a local who is en route to their home inside the blockade area near ft rice.

Reporting that the fire was started by flares being fired by the police, a car in the blockade started on fire. Water protectors attempted to put it out. Also, reported that a large drill is getting ready to be used to go under the river. As we know from the last three months, DAPL brings in the militarized police when they plan a big construction action that they know will motivate the Water Protectors in number.

Mainstream media has barely reported on the fight against Dakota Access pipeline. Independent media has been so important to getting the truth out. Associated Press (AP) now calling videographer and getting information from him.

Multiple news reports saying the police are putting out fires with their equipment. If you watch the video links above you can see this is not true. This info is likely coming from Morton County Sheriff.

Interview of a guy from the front lines who witnessed someone being hit by a beanbag round directly in the head that split his scalp open. Injured was just now transported out as well as they could without help.

Some people who have been drenched and pepper sprayed have been treated at the medic tents back at camp. With dry clothing on they are returning to the front lines to stand with the rest remaining there.

From Dallas Goldtooth’s facebook page:
Water protectors are done with the military-style barricades. We are done with the flood lights and the armored military trucks. We are are done with it!
So thats why tonight, water protectors decided to take a first peaceful step and remove the burned out vehicles that police put in place on Oct 27th to block our access heading north on hwy 1806. It was to open up the road so in the daylight the world can see the face of militarized law enforcement and state oppression. This is at the "back water bridge" north of the Oceti Sakowin camp.
Police in response are using a water cannon, tear gas and concussion grenades on the crowd!!
Its 25 degrees Fahrenheit and they are using a f**king water cannon!
Prayers and energy to our water protectors! #NoDAPL #KeepItInTheGround
