Things are getting tight around the collar for the Michigan GOP, who rolled out the (Republican) Secretary of State to scare the resident taxpayers. But they also own the media message for the day.

Taxpayers could be on the hook for close to $1 million -- or more -- for a proposed recount of Michigan's presidential election results, Secretary of State Ruth Johnson said Tuesday.
You don’t think this was an accident do ya?
Maybe Republicans are truly concerned about the taxpayers and good governance...good grief!
Low estimates (apparently) mean that Jill Stein would pay around $1m for the recount, but could cost as much as $2m, leaving Michigan residents on the hook for the balance.
With the recount planned to run over the weekend, there will be overtime costs, travel costs, and security costs among other costs not included in current estimates, Republican officials said in a conference call Tuesday.
The story is so one-sided I almost fell over! They quote the Republican Secretary of State, a Republican attorney, a Republican Party spokesperson, and the chair of the Michigan Republican Party.
This messaging control shows a seriously coordinated effort on behalf of the GOP to stop this thing before it starts. Let’s hope Dems and Greens are on message too!
