Last weekend Bill Clinton shook hands with my grandson! This was an epic moment for my family! He had touched American history and greatness! His kindergarten teacher took the photo of Jack and the former President that had been published in the Greensboro, North Carolina paper and posted it on the door to his classroom.
Unfortunately, little Jack got the message twisted a little bit. When he got home from school after all the fuss everyone made at school, he announced to his younger siblings that he was famous (and by extension, they were not.) My husband is going over to Jack’s house tonight. He will be spending time with the wayward child. I told him, “When you see Jack, be sure to tell him he isn’t famous. Mr. Clinton is.” After all, we don’t want him growing up to be another Donald Trump.
