Just this afternoon the North Carolina Board of Elections received county tallies that put Roy Cooper, the Democratic candidate, more than 10,000 votes ahead of Pat McCrory for North Carolina Governor.
If this holds then the 10,000 vote threshold means that McCrory cannot demand a recount.
While there are still some votes from Republican counties out this has an excellent chance to hold.
