Over next few days, you’re going to hear political talking heads throwing out hypotheticals that are plausible but highly, highly unlikely. One of them, which we hear every election, is that Pennsylvania and Michigan are in play! They’re not. We hear this every election that Republicans are going to turn these two Midwest states blue and most times, they never even come close.
Over the next few days, you’ll hear about the President’s schedule and what it means. President Obama will be in Michigan, New Hampshire, and Pennsylvania this weekend. The media is already going crazy over this claiming that Hillary’s internals are showing Michigan slipping away from her. That Trump is within the margin of error in Pennsylvania. That New Hampshire is now lost for Hillary.
Here’s the thing about the President’s schedule: All three of these states has two things in common: 1. There is no early voting except for excuse absentee in Michigan and 2. Donald Trump MUST win one of these to even have a path to 270. We are sending our best closer to states where he will be most effective. Plus, where could President Obama campaign that wouldn’t send the media into a frenzy? Regardless of where he goes, the media will claim that it explains she has falling internal numbers. So unless President Obama was vacationing in Hawaii or taking in a Bulls game in Chicago this weekend, the media was always going to make noise about where he was campaigning. Don’t look anything into it. You send your best where they can be most effective.
Ignore 538, not because I believe his numbers are wrong as he shows Hillary still winning in odd ways but instead because he is hedging. Statisticians are conservative when it comes to models, that have to be expected, but they rarely hedge when data is clearly showing something. That’s all I will say on that.
We are on track for over 300+ electoral votes, and I won’t add the caveat of “as it stands now” as the numbers have always shown this to be the case, minus a few bad media manufactured days. I believe we are winning FL and OH will surprise a lot of people. The firewall is holding, and the story, just like in 2012 is “What must Hillary (or Obama) do to hold her lead?!” forgetting the fact that it’s Trump who must find a way to climb above 43-44%, not Hillary. If we show up, we win. Period. And we will show up.
Not that anyone is asking for my opinion, but I will be posting my predictions for the election tomorrow!
For tonight, sleep easy and get ready to GOTV!
