Unexpected voting irregularities in SAN Pedro

Voting irregularities. Just returned from voting in San Pedro. First r the first time in 7 Presidential elections, I was asked to NOT use a ballot from the prescincymt, and instead fill in an absentee ballot on site and turn THAT in. This happened to both me and my wife. We were told this was because of heavy turnout and they were running out of ballots. There was an air of something wrong. I was not expecting this. I was not paranoid going in. But I am now. Anyone else experience this?
