The immediate problem has nothing to do with explaining how this happened, or how to avoid it in the future. It has nothing to do with bolstering our feelings or helping our community. The immediate problem is not something Kos did, or what we should do for the next election, or fixing the DNC, or any of that.
The immediate problem — the one that deserves, imho, all of our attention, NOW — is that the President-elect is a lunatic. He is erratic, unstable, and irresponsible. (He is a lot of other unpleasant things, but those are secondary.) Let me state the immediate problem again:
The President-elect of the United States of America is erratic, unstable, and irresponsible.
I don’t know what to do or say — and I know this is a thin and brittle for a diary — but I do think sounding the alarm _is_ the right thing to do. Analysing the many levels of failure is worthwhile, but not just yet. We have a grave problem we must address immediately. The President-elect of the United States of America is erratic, unstable, and irresponsible.
