Of course she would have been a better President than Trump. Of course I voted for her, like a good team member. But we told you this would happen. We begged you to embrace Sanders, not because he was perfect, but because he, and only he, could credibly speak to the issues important to people. Only Sanders had a credible case against the corporatocracy and the oligarchy. He had a real, uplifting message for those who are hurting and left out. And therefore, when talking to middle, rural America, only he was believable. He was talking to and with them while Clinton was out selling the world on the TPP.
We told you Clinton was a bad campaigner. We screamed and raged when the DNC cheated for her, and when she silently accepted the cheating. Then after she won the nomination, we fell in line, because what else are we going to do? We held our breath when they started to trickle out the hacked Podesta emails. We cringed when we found out Donna Brazille stole debate questions and fed them to Clinton in her debates with Sanders. We despaired when they revealed her cozy relationships with the banks. But still, we held on. We made excuses, some of which were even valid. But even though we knew she had warts, we were faithful. And then we lost.
I can’t say I’m surprised because again, we warned you this would happen. Because she didn’t have a case for those disaffected people. $12/hr doesn’t change their lives or bring jobs back to their communities. More Obamacare isn’t exactly a popular message either, with their premiums going up so fast and their paychecks going nowhere. Her message didn’t ring true. Because it wasn’t genuine.
A genuine public servant doesn’t stuff her pockets.
So here we are today. The first day of the rest of our lives. This is when we should be looking in the mirror instead of blaming others. And that will be our role here at kos. We are the mirror.
