As we refought the primary today and tonight, protests in America’s largest cities broke out. By the thousands they flooded the streets of New York City. In Chicago crowds estimated at few thousand grew and marched. In Austin they blocked a highway. In Portland they marched. In Los Angeles they gathered at City Hall. In DC they gathered, Boston, Oakland, Atlanta , San Francisco, and Seattle too.
"Not my President, not today.’
They carried signs that read, ‘I can’t believe I still have to protest for Civil Rights’.
In Los Angeles they shouted, "I will not live in fear," "Fight back, stand up" and "¡Si se puede!"
Across the country, high school and college students walked out of class.
They aren’t fighting primary wars. They are fighting battles that they see as their fundamental right to exist in this so called New America.

EDIT:
I checked the recent list before I posted this diary but not the FP where Mark Sumner has wonderfully covered it.
