UPDATE x2: OK, I’m kind of hijacking my own diary here, but I just wanted to note that it takes an awful lot of time and effort to maintain the ACA Signups website. Ironically, with the ACA potentially having the plug pulled in the near future, I’ve been busier than ever attempting to document not only the progress of the ongoing Open Enrollment Period but also trying to keep up with the frenzy over what in God’s name Trump and the GOP have in mind for the ACA, Medicare and Medicaid next year. I don’t know what the future will hold, but I’m going to try and keep the site going at least through the end of 2017.
With that in mind, if anyone’s in a position to help support the ACA Signups project, it would be tremendously appreciated.

Until now, the Pennsylvania vote gap was hovering around the 70,000 mark depending on your source. If this tweet is accurate, it just dropped to 46,435.
According to the Cook Report spreadsheet (which hasn’t been updated with this yet...it was posted less than 20 minutes ago), here’s where things stand:
- WI: Hillary down 22,177
- MI: Hillary down 10,704
- PA: Hillary down 46,435
- Total: 79,316
EIGHTY. THOUSAND. PEOPLE.
That’s the size of Farmington Hills, Michigan.
That’s the size of the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Or, put another way: She just needed to flip the votes of 40,000 people in those 3 states.

UPDATE: The great Peregrine Kate has posted an important diary about the how folks can help out with the Michigan recount effort:
In order to maintain transparency and integrity in the electoral process, and to get every one of Michigan's 4.8 million votes counted between December 2nd and December 13th, we need the help of hundreds of grassroots volunteers to serve as Volunteer Recount Observers at 19 sites around the state. In this role, you would be responsible for monitoring the recount of ballots, checking for any irregularities, and ensuring that every vote counts.
If you're interested in helping with the recount, follow this link
and let us know of your availability. After you sign up, you will be contacted shortly. Note also that volunteers must participate in an in-person or online training in order to serve as a Volunteer Recount Observer.
Tonight, December 1st, there will be a training at 6pm at the IBEW Local 252 Hall on 7920 Jackson Rd, in Ann Arbor.
For the online webinar training, which takes place every evening at 8pm, you can sign up with this link
Feel free to contact Recount Michigan 2016 with questions at any time at 734-249-8244 or recountmichigan.com
