Hilarity is where you find it, but it’s increasingly elusive for anyone looking in satire sites or parodist publications—they’re hopelessly outmaneuvered by mainstream media. And hilarity in mainstream media is a parody of the sort of humor that’s allegedly the best medicine.
There’s a pointedly painful ilk of hysteria mocking the media preoccupation with CIA evidence that Russians rigged our election (here, “media preoccupation” reads “ineffectual bleating”). This is the ilk of HRC hatred so vehement that the affliction of Trump by whatever means necessary is necessary to HRC getting her ass handed to her even if three million people and counting preferred her.
So what if useful idiots abound in numbers that stagger than a mere three million?
Had he read H.L. Mencken, Khrushchev wouldn’t have been so impatient burying us—we’ve done a nice job of it ourselves.
