I wonder if GOP Congressmen approve of or encourage their interns being in the for-profit fake news business?
In tracking down a bit of the fake news being spread on Facebook, I found this:
Addison Riddleberger, who worked as an intern for Congressman Mark Walker (NC-6), supporter of the NC bathroom bill, along with Jodi Riddleberger owns thetruthdivision.com (according to their domain name registration listing Jodi as owner, using Addison’s email), a website that’s spreading fake news that I found shared on Facebook. The website that’s linked to the Facebook post is larded up with ads that they presumably profit from, following the business model of the Macedonian Teenagers and others (I’d suggest you refrain from visiting since they're making money off ads, I made an exception to my policy to not follow these links to get a screenshot for this diary). But this isn’t just some teenager doing it (though he looks like not much more than a teenager). This is someone with connections to the Republican Party establishment. I wonder if Mark Walker approves of his intern (and/or a relative) being in the fake news business?
Here’s some screenshots:
