Right now I am aware of two main people running for the chair of the DNC. Keith Ellison and Tom Perez.
I definitely would pick Ellison over Perez.
My view is the Democratic Party was taken over by the Corporate wing long ago and the country has suffered for it. The seeds of the 2010 debacle and the tragedy of 2016 were sown by the Corporate wing back during the Clinton presidency — if not before.
The trade “deals”. The ending of Glass/Steagle. The unmistakable drift to the right and courting of Wall Street.
Then, in 2008, the country having been devastated by Bush, was SO ready for real, substantial change.
We didn't get it. The country got the Corporate wing on the Democratic Party bailing out their chums on Wall Street and average people were left to fend for themselves. That directly resulted in 2010.
And the Corporate wing learned nothing. Instead we had more talk of a “Grand Bargain” which would have screwed average Americans.
Obama and Holder refused to even attempt to prosecute the criminals on Wall Street.
The approach of the Corporate wing was slow, plodding and stunningly obtuse in communicating to average people. Clinton couldn't even say she supported the $15 minimum wage without dribbling out a paragraph of small print. It was embarrassing to watch
And the Corporate wing was actually surprised by the rise of Sanders. How out of touch can a bunch of wealthy Democrats be?
Now we have a chance to clean house at the DNC. We're stuck with Donna Brizille for a couple of months but then it's someone new.
The correct thing to do is dump everyone associated with the Corporate wing — whatever their race, gender or creed might be
Any influence of Clinton and Obama should be wiped clean. I wouldn't mind Obama as a states person or figurehead — but no direct influence
Ellison has already started out well with his input on the North Carolina situation. Perez? Not a peep.
Keith Ellison just made North Carolina politics a Democratic Party fight

So, for what it's worth, I am hoping Ellison gets the post and the DNC cleans out the Corporate wing.
