January 21, 2017, Washington, DC. Organizers have gotten the website, twitter, and instagram going. The permit is in process and they met with the Park Service. Location is TBD because of many applications for demonstrations that day, but there is no doubt the march will go forward. Really amazing that they have gotten this together less than one month after the election. There are groups from all fifty states and some international groups organizing transportation, and also local events for those that cannot come to Washington. The state links are on the facebook page. I have my plane ticket, cannot wait!

Mission statement:
On January 21, 2017 we will unite for the Women's March on Washington
We stand together in solidarity with our partners and children for the protection of our rights, our safety, our health, and our families -- recognizing that our vibrant and diverse communities are the strength of our country.
Because women's rights are human rights

There are many valid criticisms that the March was organized only by white women, and is not inclusive. There are now women of color on the national organizing team, and they are very conscious of this issue. There is an inclusivity statement on the Facebook page.
My take is that the organizers are aware, and are working incredibly hard, and many women are planning on going. The flaws are outweighed by the positive of getting thousands and thousands, maybe 100,000 plus, to let Trump and his woman-hating Cabinet know that we will not be silenced.
HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE! :)
