Click here to listen in to Agitator Radio live. The interview with Benard Simelton, Alabama NAACP President, Joe Keffer, Moral Movement Alabama and John Zippert, President Alabama New South Coalition will cover the history of their fight for human and civil rights in Alabama.
More than 144 organizations have stated that Sen. Jeff Sessions is unfit to serve as US Attorney General because of his long and troubling record against civil and human rights, along with a 30-year record of racial insensitivity, bias against immigrants, disregard for the rule of law, and hostility to the protection of civil rights. Today we will hear from some of his constituents on exactly why Sen. Sessions should not be allowed to hold this office.
Senator Sessions is attempting to convince his fellow Senators that his views have changed since 1996. In reviewing his Senate voting record since 2009 this just isn't true. He voted against the Lily Ledbetter Act in 2009, the Violence Against Women Act in 2013 and the most recent version of the Paycheck Fairness Act and those are just his votes against women.
Robert's guests are Benard Simelton, Alabama NAACP President, Joe Keffer, Moral Movement Alabama and John Zippert, President Alabama New South Coalition.
