There is a conscience in each of us, and it speaks. There is moral courage in each of us, and it empowers us. There is strength in solidarity and honor in defiance and sanctity in our defense of democracy. Every supporter of Bernie Sanders is the epicenter of a circle of awakening, every supporter of Bernie Sanders is the light in this darkness and the truth in this wilderness of lies. Every word of truth spoken, every word of truth written in support of his campaign lifts up the fallen, empowers the powerless, and exposes the depravity of this corrupt political system, this corrupt economic system, this corrupt corporate system of exploitation and oppression and endless injustice.
Bernie Sanders . . .
Let us wage a moral and political war against the billionaires and corporate leaders, on Wall Street and elsewhere, whose policies and greed are destroying the Middle Class of America.
Let us wage a moral and political war against the corrupt Democratic establishment, whose incompetence and treachery are destroying the Party of FDR and Truman, the Party of working families, the Party of civil liberties and economic equality and social justice.
Democratic Underground . . .
These are the losers who have taken us from +20 to -8 in the Senate, in just six years. These are the losers who have taken us from +83 to -59 in the House, in just six years. Including the biggest wipeout for the Democratic Party in more than 100 years. These are the losers who now have left us with control of only seven state governments, while the Republicans control 27. They have taken us from +8 to -20, in just six years.
These are the losers who are telling us Hillary Clinton is a progressive, these are the losers who give us midterm disasters and clusterfuck compromises in Congress and condescending candidates who don’t give a damn about us until they need our votes, these are the losers who are telling us it’s our job to embrace the suck again.
There are times when pervasive corruption must be confronted, there are times when a tipping point is reached, there are times when political revolution becomes an absolute necessity, when it is the only solution, the only way out.
Fight back.
Here and now.
This day, this hour.
Because enough is enough.
Because we are better than this . . .
William Faulkner . . .
Some things you must always be unable to bear. Some things you must never stop refusing to bear. Injustice and outrage and dishonor and shame. No matter how young you are or how old you have become, refuse to bear them.
Believe in idealism again, believe it still matters. Because it does. It matters more now than it has ever mattered before, it's needed now more than its ever been needed before.
Believe in Bernie Sanders.
Because he believes in you.
It is written that dreams will not be thwarted, it is written that faith will be rewarded, it is written that an ensign shall be raised on high for the afflicted, that they shall assemble the outcasts of this world, and gather together the dispersed and the downtrodden, from the four corners of all the earth. And it shall come to pass, that the lofty looks of the moneychangers shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of leaders shall crumble into dust.
