A country’s well being can be measured by the percentage of its children living in poverty. Using the data in the table below the US has some glaring problems in response to children living in poverty especially when measured by race.

The reason I show these figures is because poverty is a political issue. African American children have the highest poverty rate of all by far; about 4 million African American children living in poverty.
Race in this instance seems to create an enormous economic deficit.
Bernie Sanders addresses the issue of poverty throughout his entire platform of issues. There is no other candidate that even comes close to the comprehensiveness of his policies to help those living in poverty.
