Early voted for Bernie in Florida! Feel the Bern!!
I went in, showed my ID, a ballot was printed for me and I voted by filling in ovals on a paper ballot.
I found myself sorely tempted to, in the quiet of the voting booth, very LOUDLY declare… “this pen is really hot, I CAN FEEL THE BERN!!” Alas, I have always been a rule-following goody two-shoes and just kept quiet.
On the two city council positions, even though I have a “vote Cooper” sign on my front lawn because two of her campaign people came and talked to me very nicely and asked for permission to put it there.
I did not “vote Cooper” — I like the idea of a new library and I’m told Cooper would kill it if she could. I don’t know that for a fact, but I trust the person who said that to me. I wonder if my neighbors are irked with me, they all have different signs and they probably think I voted for Cooper… I mean the sign is right there in my front yard, will anyone believe me if I declare otherwise?
Bonds for funding the library referendum, yeah bonds are ok… (as in PLEASE don’t raise my property taxes!)
If I feel energetic I will go out there and take the Cooper sign down later today. (visualize the chubby puss’n’boots from Shrek saying “I’ll catch him later” about the mouse drinking at his milk bowl)
Hopefully the rest of the electorate is better educated on city council posts.
FEEL THE BERN!!
