First of all, let me be very, very clear.
I am OUTRAGED!!!
I am very very angry at how much you don’t care about the stuff I care about as much as I care about stuff. I am even more angry that you are angry about stuff I do not care about much at all. Why are you so outraged at my lack of outrage? Why am I so outraged at your lack of outrage?
This is outrageous!
Seriously, I used to roll my eyes at my conservative acquaintances when they’d talk about how ridiculous “political correctness” is, and how easily offended liberals are.
Then I started hanging out with other liberals.
This primary is coming to that point where supporters of Candidate A simply cannot believe what sub-human pieces of garbage supporters of Candidate B are, and vice-versa.
The simple fact is, we are largely internet strangers, and the best of us write comments that aren’t that noticeable, or don’t write any comments at all, and the worst of us, either because we are very very angry, or are simply just bad people, get the spotlight with the “he did this,” and “she did that” childish crap-ola.
So here is my advice:
BE COOL
Seriously.
We are humans, and we want to have kindness and compassion, even when we feel anger, and hurt.
We will survive this.
If someone minimizes things that are very important to you, please understand that they may not have meant to do so, and in the cold light of day, will probably feel bad about it.
So I’m going to sing you a classic Charlie Rich tune.
I woke up this morning, realized what I had done
I stood alone in the cold gray dawn
I knew I'd lost my morning sun
I lost my head and I said some things
Now comes the heartaches that the morning brings
I know I'm wrong and I couldn't see
I let my world slip away from me…
So, hey, did you happen to see the most beautiful girl in the world?
And if you did, was she crying, crying?
Hey, if you happen to see the most beautiful girl that walked out on me
Tell her I'm sorry
Tell her I need my baby
Oh won't you tell her, that I love her
