Carson on Trump comparing him to child molester: 'You have to admit to some degree that it did work'

Now there is a sad, broken man.

Dr. Ben Carson, formerly a candidate for the presidency, is now a Donald Trump surrogate. This means Ben Carson has to square his support for Trump with the fact that Trump beat him by, among other things, saying Carson was like a "child molester."

So, Doctor Ben, no hard feelings about Donald Trump calling you "pathological," or opining that you were probably making up parts of your life story, or comparing you to a child molester?

The retired neurosurgeon chalked it up to politics.

"He said it was political, he was concerned about the fact that he couldn't shake me," Carson said. "I understand, you know, politics, and particularly the politics of personal distraction. You have to admit to some degree that it did work. A lot of people believed him."

Gotta hand it to ol' Don. When he calls you a child molester he really makes it stick. Ya just can’t help but admire that … apparently.

Honestly, watching Chris Christie and Ben Carson humiliate themselves for Donald Trump isn't even fun. That said, these are two of the candidates who got the most heat for lavish living while on the campaign trail. For both of them, getting even a momentary taste of the Donald Trump private jet life must be one hell of a narcotic, and worth a lot of personal pain.

But letting bygones be bygones when a man has compared you to a child molester? Have a bit more dignity than that, you poor man! Next you'll be letting him plagiarize your dead campaign's op-ed columns instead of writing his own, like the smart kid in school doing homework for the bully. And that would just be sad.
