Much respect for a land that I love. I grew up with fishing trips to Panguitch and Navajo Lakes, camping in Zion, the Shakespeare Festival in Cedar City. Once older I took my kids to most of the same things. We didn’t fish as I was a vegetarian, but we instead drove to the top of Brian Head where you could see for hundreds of miles in the summer. Plus I learned about Bryce Canyon — one of the most beautiful places on earth. It’s a cool place to camp… and by that I mean it is literally a cool place to camp in summer heat. 50 degrees in a sleeping bag is much better than lower Zion, especially once the sun comes up.
So, as a Vegas kid, Utah will always have a special place in my heart.
It is nice to know that the majority of people in Utah and I agree upon a few things. 1) It is not ok to demonize people because of their religious preferences. 2) It is not ok to discriminate towards people based upon where they come from.
The people of Utah have rejected Trump, largely based upon these reasons.
Thank you.
I hope that we can work together in the future.
