ZOMG ZOMG! I know, you only just got done reeling from the shock of knowing that Bernie’s campaign manager Tad Devine runs an ad agency and his ad agency got paid $810,000 for doing ad work for Bernie! Well wow and gosh and holy s-—, but you’re REALLY going to flip out about this: Hillary’s campaign advisor, a man named Andrew Bleeker, runs a digital media company called Bully Pulpit Interactive that’s gotten ONE AND A QUARTER TIMES THAT MUCH from the Hillary campaign!!!! During the same time period! OMG!!!!! EVERYONE FREAK OUUUUUUUUT!!!!
Hillary people: I know, right? You probably can’t BELIEVE that she’s actually using your precious campaign contributions to pay for—to pay for—ADVERTISING (shudder), and that her staffer, Andrew Bleeker, is getting Rich off of it! I mean, you guys were on FIRE telling me over and over lately (like, a BUNCH of you, all of a sudden, just started telling me this all at the same time, for some reason, out of the clear blue sky: “Tad Devine! Tad Devine! He’s getting rich! He’s getting rich!” all of you suddenly started being interesting in telling me).
So… I guess you meant that it’s really shocking for senior staff to own media companies, and for them to create advertising for money as well. Right? Was that what was shocking? Or was it just shocking that Bernie was using my campaign contributions to create advertising? Hm… so creating ads, I actually HOPED he would do, because… well, when I give a candidate a campaign contribution, I thought they were SUPPOSED to use it to buy ads, among other things, to sell their ideas to voters.
But if it was the fact that nobody working on the campaign's staff should also be creating advertising for them too, then wow—BIG scoop on Andrew Bleeker doing that, right? I mean, he’s a Hillary adviser, and here he is also getting major cash for his ad agency, for making ads for her!
So there you go—favor returned, my dear friends! You’re welcome. Least I could do, since you clued me in on the fact that after I contributed money to Bernie, so that he could create and buy ads, he… did so.
NOTE: I know that there is an official edict from the site owner against posting anything that is negative about Hillary Clinton OR Bernie Sanders on the site. I do not wish to break this rule, and this diary is not intended to do so. However, if it is banned on that basis, then please be sure to flag EVERY mention of Tad Devine’s ad agency getting money for creating ads, which, again, er… we want him to do, and we hope he does more of.
