Simple question. I hear everything about record breaking turnout. Looking at the NYTimes election results page, looks like turnout in Maine was as follows:
-
Democrats: 3,470 votes (91% reporting)
-
Republicans: 18,627 votes (100% reporting)
This is a genuine question, not questioning anybody’s excitement or Bernie’s win tonight (I’m a yuuuuge Bernie supporter myself).
(1) If turnout was record tonight, was it more than we had in 2008?
(2) Why did we get so out-turned-out tonight by the Republicans?
(3) Should we be concerned, or is this typical / not a problem?
Discuss, I’m genuinely curious.
