WRAL-TV, an NBC affiliate in the Triangle area, has just announced results of a Survey USA poll they commissioned.
Hillary Clinton holds a big lead among Democrats in the state, with the breakdown as follows:
Of the 1,555 likely voters who were polled statewide between Friday and Monday, Dems and Republicans were almost evenly split. MOE is +/- 3.8%. (The poll gives other information on 1800 registered voters.)
Demographic and party breakdowns are similar to those in many other states so far:
Clinton leads among both men and women and wins the AA vote 74-20%. (Sanders leads among Latinos, although only a small number were surveyed.)
Sanders leads among voters age 18-34 by 64%-34%. Clinton leads voters over 35 by 18-51 point margins.
Sanders leads among independents by 17-20 points, but staunch Democrats support HRC by greater margins.
