HAPPY YEAR OF THE FIRE MONKEY, EVERYONE! We all have that Monkey DNA flowing in ours, because we are members of the Hominidae Family.
The Bonobo (Pan paniscus) and the Chimpanzee (Pan troglodytes) are our closest primate relatives; concerning our Primate DNA they are our first cousins. DNA evidence suggests the Bonobo and Chimpanzee species effectively separated from each other fewer than one million years ago. The Pan line split from the last common ancestor we shared with humans approximately six to seven million years ago. Because no species other than Homo sapiens has survived from the human line of that branching, both Pan species are the closest living relatives of humans and cladistically are equally close to humans. The recent genome data confirms the genetic equidistance. Studying the differences between the Bonobo and the Chimpanzee, you can see that the Bonobo is smaller in size and they’re cooperative within their societies. They are Matrilineal in the way their societies are delegated and they use family ties based in love, sibling relationship, offspring relationship, and sex relationships to get their needs met. Bonobo society is based in altruism, compassion, empathy, kindness, patience, and sensitivity , and Primatologists have described "bonobo society" as a “gynecocracy” which means the female holds the political power within their society. They eat meat when they want too and they use tools to do the killing.
Chimpanzees are larger in size, highly competitive and aggressive and they kill for fun, control, and Chimpanzee alliances can be very fickle and one member may turn on another if it serves him. They also practice infanticide within their society if the death of the infant benefits their sexual needs. They eat meat when they want too and they use tools to do the killing. They will use family connections, violence, sex, male bonding and gang warfare to get their needs met. The females do not hold central power within their societies. Primatologists have described Chimpanzee society as Patriarchal.
If you look around, you see the same traits in humanity. I think mankind has evolved comparatively, with our two cousins, the Bonobo and the Chimp. There are humans that cooperate and are turned on by that way of relating, and they’re humans who are violent and who are turned on by that way of relating. Both types of humans have helped us to evolve into what we are at this point in time. We humans, are all a combination of those two ways of dealing with each other, within our human society, and we use both violence and cooperation to get things done and to get our needs met.
As Human beings we have that free will choice thing built into our society. We are taught that we have the freedom of choice in our form of Society here in the Good old USA, because we are a “Free” society. Some get success with aggression in their free will choices, some get success using cooperation in their free will choices, and some get success while banning and censuring others thoughts concerning political choice so they can control the masses in a totalitarian way with their free will choices.
We get that choice concerning which “monkey” button we will push when relating to one another everyday, we can choose to be nasty, nice or bullying. I am choosing to push my Bonobo button after doing this research into our two Cousins, who are so closely related to us. That button is based in altruism, compassion, empathy, kindness, patience, and sensitivity . That Chimpanzee button has way to much hate, way to much self comes first, way to much violence gets needs met, way to many control behaviors, way to much infants are dispensable if the desire for sexual gratification is present and their existence is in the way, all the stuff that Human war, rape and pillage is made from.
There are so many Chimps running for the White House in this primary year, and their outbursts of Chimp behavior have been overwhelming to see everyday in the Corporate media who wants to control this planet with that Chimp behavior.
So I am voting for the one human that is representing our Bonobo DNA in the group, BERNIE SANDERS. He is the only Genus: Homo that is truly resonating altruism, compassion, empathy, kindness, patience, and sensitivity within his political platform.
