It’s very likely that the winner of this Primary will not select the loser to be VP. And that’s a good thing. The Democratic Bench needs to step up, and promoting a young wolf-pup to the slot is past due. The Generation gap wont be helped if our highest office seekers are approaching or over 70.
Yes, I know, A VP’s job is attack dog (wolf). Or was it to deliver his/her home state (i.e Winterfell). But history has shown that this really isn’t necessary. Quayle and Palin were not immediately (or ever) ready for the Presidency but it did not stop Bush from choosing Quayle and the crazies did not care (at the time) about Palin. Jon Snow was meant for leadership from Day 1...(well perhaps that one didn’t work)
So I think some thought to the young wolves are in order. Why not select one of Castro & Castro, Inc. If one doesn’t fit your highest sensibilities, there’s always the other twin. Or how about Tulsi Gabbard, a rising star with an impeccable service record and story.
It’s time to bring new leadership potential to the forefront. So why not let a rising star “learn” at the feet of either Clinton or Sanders.
