I haven’t seen this diaried elsewhere, so: I’m seeing reports in my FB feed about confusion over NYC ballot design. The Brennan Center for Justice has a very helpful link explaining it. The short version: it is your mark in the LEFT column that is the biggie:
If you read nothing else, know this: the winner of the primary will be determined by the votes in the left column, for the candidates themselves. The column on the right is to help determine which delegates will attend the party convention.
Please share this with all NYC voters you know, regardless of whom you support. And yes, it’s maddening that it’s [potentially] so confusing to cast a vote for the candidate of your choice.
