Bernie or Hillary winning — a problem or an inconvenience?
As a guy who has had 3 types of cancer, I pay attention to making every day count. (No, my demise is not on the immediate horizon, thanks.)
One of the things I learned (from somewhere) is to note the difference between a problem and an inconvenience. If you are getting stressed by inconveniences, you are wasting your precious time.
So what’s a problem, and what’s an inconvenience:
Having cancer is a problem. Having a cold is an inconvenience.
Having a daughter with a drug addiction is a problem. Having a daughter who comes home after curfew is an inconvenience.
Losing a job when your family needs the cash to survive is a problem. Having the boss yell at you or having to work late is an inconvenience.
Losing a limb to gunfire is a problem. Losing your phone is an inconvenience.
Ok, enough on that (starts sounding trite). How does this apply to current politics:
Trump or Cruz elected as President is a problem.
Hillary or Bernie elected as President (assuming you are not for the winner) is an inconvenience.
Don’t waste your precious time stressing about inconveniences. (Go ahead and work your tail off for your candidate, but stop being bummed out about it.)
