This isn’t news, exactly, but I think the tone of the piece is fair and even.
Of course Democratic lawmakers are angling for a place at the table. That’s how party politics works.
It’s the “real world” that we Sanders supporters are often mocked for not supporting.

After years of feeling largely shunned by Obama, who's eschewed the glad-handing that was a hallmark of Bill Clinton's presidency, elected Democrats are eager to see another Clinton in the White House.”
How well does party politics reflect the will of the people? Better ask how well democracy works, anyway. It has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.
What I’m asking for, and what I suspect most of we Sanders supporters are asking for, is for our place at the table. That’s what we’re “angling for” with our donations of time and money.
Can you say that we’re wrong to do so?
