Visitors heading to … the Convention have the rare opportunity to rent the childhood home of one of the country’s most notorious killers and sex offenders. The former Bath Township home of Jeffrey Dahmer is one of several private properties that real estate company Howard Hanna has made available for rent for the July convention….. The three-bedroom home … costs $8,000 to rent for the week. It’s the site of Dahmer’s first murder in 1978 ….

Let this grim tidbit be the springboard for a modified open-thread concentrating on the meta of the impending Cleveland fun-fest. So much Drumpfische energy has been focused on whether “there might be riots”. Calmer souls have exercised their imaginative faculties on the sweaty fantasy of a mutli-ballot R-Con, with dreams of 1924 and the 103-ballot Democalypse in Madison Square Garden tantalizing our hopes and fears.
