Let's be honest, African Americans are the reason we will not have a President Sanders. Sanders is trying to destroy the Democratic Party right this minute and AA’s were part of the firewall which prevented him from achieving his goal. Reference this New York Times article:

Hillary Clinton built up her insurmountable lead early on based on primary votes of AA’s in the South. Subsequently, she expanded that lead with the large metropolitan areas in this country with a high concentration of AA’s. We all remember the countless diaries around here at the time “perplexed” because AA’s were voting against their self interest or so the diarist thought! Didn't they (AA’s) see that Bernie Sanders’s was their saviour? No, we did not and do not. I tried to respond in some of those diaries that black people look at things from an entirely different perspective. We are pragmatist. I don't care how “liberal” or progressive you think you are, you are still white and have never taken a step in a black person’s shoes. I am not going to relitigate all of the challenges we face in these United States of America but you know what they are. Bernie was not going to solve all of our problems besides he was a 1 trick pony. This Politico article explains some of it but not all, this is an excerpt but it hits the nail on the head :
Beyond these historic patterns, African-Americans today are fiercely loyal to Barack Obama and, as a result, tend to be more positive than whites about how well America is doing under Obama. Just as both Clintons discovered that black support for Obama in 2008 trumped the long friendship between most blacks and the Clintons, Sanders has seen that his criticism of President Obama as having “let progressives down” trumps his having been arrested at a Sixties civil rights protest.

Black Women have been turning out at the highest rate in the last 2 presidential elections. They are the primary key to Hillary Clinton being the presumptive nominee. Reference this Huffington Post article:

This past week has revealed to a lot ( majority) of you the character of Bernie Sanders, we (AA’s) knew it all along.
